Transforming Together
Working to build a resilient network of professionals, local decision-makers, and women with lived experience working together to improve support for women with multiple unmet needs in the North East.
10 Oct 2024
From 10-17 October 2024, all donations made to our Big Give campaign will be DOUBLED, thanks to the Big Give’s Women and Girls Match Fund.
We’re excited to share that our first ever Big Give campaign is now live! This means that from now until 12pm Thursday 17 October, every pound donated to our campaign will make double the difference to the women we work with.
We’re hoping to raise £5,000, doubled to £10,000, to support our work with our Women’s Advisory Network. They are an incredible group of women with lived experience of the issues we work on, who guide us in our mission and campaign for change on behalf of women at the sharpest edge of adversity.
Women with multiple unmet needs, which is how the women and girls we have spoken to have said they’d like to be referred to, experience multiple adverse experiences in their life, often in an overlapping way.
As a result of trauma, poverty, or abuse, the women we work with have often faced a combination of homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, sexual or domestic violence, long-term unmet mental health needs, and contact with the criminal justice or immigration system and social services.
Our work highlights the way these women struggle to be heard or appropriately supported by the systems and services that are meant to support them. They frequently face judgement and stigma, from professionals and the general public alike.
Agenda Alliance’s Women’s Advisory Network offers a powerful platform for these women to contribute to national decision-making and influencing, and empower each other to campaign together for change.

£10 (doubled to £20) would cover an hour of childcare for a woman to engage in our work.
£20 (doubled to £40) could pay for one woman to attend a network meeting, with time for self-care afterwards.
£50 (doubled to £100) could pay for a woman to travel to Westminster, and take her voice to the heart of government.
£100 (doubled to £200) would contribute to a training session for the Advisory Network, so they can safely share their stories with the media to highlight the challenges women are facing.
Thank you so much for anything you can spare – there is no donation too small, and whatever you give will make such a difference.
