Lilly Lewis-James is a survivor and campaigner on domestic abuse who has done her campaigning work over the last four years including while incarcerated. After being sentenced in 2016 to eight years in prison, she began to work with APPEAL's Women's Justice as a Women's Justice Ambassador.
Lilly works at WHAG as a MEAM (Make Every Adult Matter) worker as part of Greater Manchester Combined Authority's Changing Futures Team.
Lilly also works with One Small Thing as a Women’s Involvement Advisor, ensuring the voices of women affected by the criminal justice system are included across their work. Lilly writes for One Small Thing’s Blog and is Co-Chair for Greater Manchester Women's Multiple Unmet Needs System Change Group.
